Incy Wincy Spider

Hi there!

Today I am back to show you the goody bags I made for the children for 'trick or treat'.

I purchased some medium sized glassine bags from BLANK, check them out, they have some cute stuff!

Firstly, I ran the bags through the Big Shot with the Spider Web Embossing Folder. I then used the Two Way Glue Pen and some Dazzling Diamonds on the outward radiating lines of the web. It is hard to see in this photo, but it looked pretty IRL!

I then cut strips of the Silver Glimmer Paper and flagged both ends, adding an Incy Wincy Spider (Googly Ghouls) on the end.

The bags contained some bubbles, a cookie, a lollipop, a Cadbury Scream Egg, an eraser and some lollies.

I was happy with the result. I like the idea of giving individual bags, otherwise the bigger kids usually seem to grab most of the lollies first and the little ones seem to miss out!

My girls, ready to party!

I will be back tomorrow to show you the treats I made for the girls to take to school to share with their friends.

Thanks for stopping by!

Boo 2 u!

Hi there.

Once again, it has been a while, but today I'm back with a Halloween themed post.

Every year we have a Halloween Street party. Since Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year, we decided to have our party last Sunday.

I had purchased the Googly Ghouls stamp set, and thought it would be perfect for our invites.

Each year we put an invite into each letter box in our street. We include a balloon with each one. If our neighbours would like to participate in 'trick or treat', by having the children knock on their door, they blow up their balloon and tie it to their fence or letterbox. If there is no balloon out, then we leave them alone. This seems to work well. Since we are in a small cul-de-sac, we get most houses participating. After the kids are done, we then have a BBQ at one of the neighbours houses.

For the invites I chose the colours, Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant, Lucky Limeade, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Whisper White, Summer Starfruit and Silver Glimmer Paper.

The DSP is retired, I think it was from last years catty. I used the Mummy stamp and added one of our adhesive googly eyes.

I ran the black card stock  through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot embossing folder, to add a bit of texture and interest.

I had to make 12 of these, so I didn't want to add to much detail. I wanted something simple and easy to mass produce.

The neighbours all thought the invites were cute, which is nice!

I'll be back tomorrow to show the goody bags I made for the kids that came to 'trick or treat'.

Thanks for stopping by!
