A bookmark for mum...

Hi there! Back again.....

Miss 4 has a Mother's Day stall coming up at pre-school next week and each family was asked to donate a gift or two. I of course decided that our contribution had to be something handmade.

I have seen these corner bookmarks floating around blogland lately and thought they would be the perfect Mother's Day gift, as well as being quick and easy to make.

I had bookmarked this example over at 'Debbie's Designs' by Debby Henderson. She took her instructions from here, supplied by Stampin' Up!

The first few are based on the Stampin' Up! design, using different stamps and different colour combos.

The three bookmarks above, use the yummy In-colours, of Calypso Coral, Pool Party (a fave of mine) and Wisteria Wonder, all on a Crumbcake base, with matching yummy Ruffled Ribbon.

I made 3 more bookmarks, changing the design up a little.

I really love the doily ones! May have to do a few more of these, and even one for myself! I love the Delicate Doily stamps, and I think the touch of the white doily gives a touch of added elegance.

Here is a pick of them all packaged up together, ready to go.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please leave a comment, and if you have any questions please ask!

Lots of spots and dots.....

Hi there!

Back again today, can you believe it?! I am going to try really hard to keep on a roll, now that I have finally sat down and written a post!

Today's card was made for the sister, of the owner, of yesterday's card. It is also another piece of Pinterest inspiration. This inspiration was from Jennifer Jackson over at 'stamp it with Jen'. I loved the embossing and all the spots and dots.

I stuck to her basic design, but changed the colours and added some butterflies, some bling and some sparkle.

I have used Melon Mambo (which is looking very red in these pics), Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Whisper White and Pretty in Pink.

The inlaid embossing was done using the Polka Dot Embossing folder and the ever handy Big Shot. I used me two way glue pen and some Dazzling Diamonds around the edge of the sentiment circle to add some sparkle.

Any questions, just ask. Feel free to leave a comment.
Good to see you again today!

Birthday Bunting

Hi there! I'm back.

I hope you haven't forgotten me, it's been a while. I had a lovely Christmas break with hubby and the girls. We went away for a little over a week and spent lots of time at the beach. I was too busy enjoying them to do any blogging and since then a few other things have gotten in the way and it seems to have taken me a while to get the enthusiasm back!

I have still been making cards and checking my google reader feed. I also got hopelessly addicted to Pinterest over the last few months! Gee you can spend a lot of time on there! I seemed to be pinning a LOT, spending all my time pinning and not using the inspiration.

So in the last few weeks I have made the effort to use the pins to inspire some cards. Love it! I am going to start a board showing what I have made from the pins, so I feel some accomplishment from all that pinning I think! ;)

Now among other things, I love a bunting. They seem to be very popular in the card making world at the moment. I saw the most gorgeous card on Pinterest and had to make it! I pinned it onto my 'caseable cards' board...but unfortunately the pic isn't linked to a website, so I can't recognise the original artist! If anyone recognises this card, please let me know, so that I can link back to it's original creator!

Here is my card...

Very similar to the original, with a few additions/changes. This card for for the sweet daughter of a very dear friend of mine. I hope she liked it!

Here are some close up shots.

I also made a matching gift tag to go with the card.

I have made a heap of stuff since my previous post (last year!), so in theory I should be back soon with more to show you! See how I go......

Please leave me a comment, I hope there are still some followers out there after all this time ;)
